And So It Begins....

Back in the water we went this weekend, kicking off summer in epic style out at Chestermere. The Hyperactive Team took to the lake in full force, taking advantage of all three days out on the water. Our proshop manager Brett was seen attempting some pre-ski stretches in a wet-suit much too small for a man of his stature.
All the stretching in the world could not prepare Brett for the mind numbing feeling of sinking into the 49 degree water.

Once we were accustomed to the water it was buisness as usual with the huge airs on the wakeboard, fast corners on the waterski and hard cuts on the surfboards. There was even some 40 mph surfboard whippers and a few failed atttempts at barefooting.

Hopefully the gods will bless us with hot days and calm water for the upcoming may long weekend, but if the weekend lives up to its reputation, we may be ripping in the snow!!
See Ya'll Out There...

Sunset SKI????

Well, i know we are supposed to be making the most of the winter by making weekend journeys to the mountain mecca to the west, but my mind will not stop thinking about the sunset ski. So many times last summer i would race north after work to try and catch any left over glimmers of sunlight to get a few turn on a glass lake.

Last night on a flight to edmonton, I flew right past my bay of choice. My mind wandered to the feeling of sliding off the back of the boat rope in hand. Sitting in the water and looking around i realize that i am the only guy on the water. One of those rare evenings when the weather is clear, no clouds, and the sun had just set over the horizon. And its just me and the boat. You can see people on the shore line, sitting on their boat house deck and you decide you are going to give them a show! The rope tenses up and you say HIT IT, and off you go.

It would have been one of those picture perfect sets.

Unfortunately, the only thing occupying the lake was snow machines and ice fishing huts.

Oh well... Its 7 above today, maybe that means the spring is going to make an early enterance but for some reason i doubt it.

Was just going through some pictures from the fall and it got me REALLY excited for the 2010 year!!!!

BRAND NEW TIGE'S!!!

Wow, So Much Social Networking

Its going on six hours now, the setting up and linking of social network sites sure takes a long time. But it will be worth it. The Winter, cold and dreary, is a good time to do this kind of work, but my mind constantly flashes to early summer morning glass. I cannot wait for this day to come.
